Happy Sunday readers!
Today I started to plan out how I would like Amanda and I to move along with this project since we have to be very strict with our scheduling. As I was planning out a schedule, Amanda and I have decided to be filming twice a week after we complete our storyboard. We should be starting our storyboard by the start of this week and have it completed by the weekend.(I will post the storyboard on the blog) Amanda and I are extremely excited as we gather ideas on how we will create this film opening. We want to give our audience the best film opening possible. Amanda and I have came up with some techniques and here they are.

First let's talk about camera shots and movements:
Establishing shots: We will be using establishing shots during our film opening for our viewers to better understand what's going on. (the school and her home)
Close ups: We will be using close ups to show a lot of emotions and doing this the emotions will be enhanced and the audience will be more attached.
Long shot/medium shot: we will be using these shots to show her at her moment when she gains her confidence.

Now we are moving on to Mise-en-scene:
-During the film opening we will have to be very specific with every detail, including clothing, location, background, and emotion. The teenager will be using very plain black clothing, this will be representing her personality and how she feels about herself. You will be able to get a peak of how she sees herself.
-The setting will be taken in her school and her room, the setting is extremely important because you will see where and how she deals with her emotions. Along with seeing why she takes action in the first place.
-Once our main character gains her confidence her clothes will look much brighter and better. You will be able to see a confidence burst.

All of these aspects will help make our film opening very detailed and emotional. We will be using WeVideo to edit our project, and will be filming with our Iphone using special lenses. I hope that we can edit the color of the clips between her happy moments and her sad moments. I am so excited to continue working on this project. I will blog a little later this week to update you guys with more detail!

Xoxo, Onil
