Camera Shots
Im back,
As I said in my last post, I would talk about the type of camera movements, shots, angles, lighting, and etc in this blog. As promised I did my research and this is what I have done for you guys as of now.
Camera shots
Low Angle: In many superhero movies this angle is extremely common, this angle is showed to make the person seem very powerful and strong. In many super heros movies that main character is supposed to look more powerful than others they are surrounded by and this angle helps make them look more of that.
Medium shots: This angle is common as well because it allows you to be able to capture more body movement. With body movement you are able to see more emotions, along with allowing you to capture the scene around. (common in ALL movies)
Close up shots: Close up allows you to pay specific attention to a certain object/person, in this film opening we know we would use a close up shot to when the boy discovers his mother letter. We would show the close up of the letter and his reaction to when he is reading it. This shows emotion and allows the audience to focus on what is important.
Zoom shot: We could use this shot to be able to show something important. In this film we could use a zoom out to reveal a character or frame that wasn't shown before. In the start of this film we could use a zoom out from this young boys eyes to showing the funeral.

In the paragraph above I researched some camera shots that we could use in our film opening to make it look great. I will definitely be doing some more research tomorrow and hopefully by wednesday I will be able to upload our storyboard onto the blog. I know that Amanda and I will have some changes in our storyboard over time. But it would be great to have something on paper for now!
