Back with an update !

        These past few days have been very busy, and I feel that Amanda and I have not been able to communicate as much as we normally would. Today we had a conversation about the kind of genre we would be using for our short film, but nothing is set yet.

        Even though Amanda and I have not discussed the kind of genre we will be incorporating in the short film, we did have a conversation about how we will be creating a very strict schedule that we will be using this week. Amanda and I both have very busy and different schedules, I work four times a week and I know Amanda does as well. So for my next few blog posting I will be updating you guys on how we will both be working on our schedule outline and how we are going to both find a way to be able to stay on task with this project.

        With having a lot of time to finish this project, can come a lot of procrastination as well. For this years project Amanda and I want to make sure we stay on task, so by the end we will be able to perfect this project as much as we possibly can. By the end of this week we should have a strict schedule that we will be following weekly, because at the end of the day its all about how we manage our time.

        As I said in my last blog post I would update you guys on my thoughts for this project so far. And even though Amanda and I have not gone in depth I would like to discuss possible genres that we could use for our short film.


        When I first thought of a genre I instantly thought about horror, because I thought horror movies always have a very intense and suspenseful beginning to the film, so I thought it would be perfect for Amanda and I to be able to work with. But as I continued to think about this genre I came to a realization that Amanda and I will not have access to the techniques needed in order to create a short film with the genre horror. Horror films often are very professional with the type of lighting used for these films, and I feel as if Amanda and I do not have any experience with this to make it look as professional as possible. And for the most part horror films include a lot go blood, and some kind of scary creature and I felt that Amanda and I have no talent with make up or costume design so I felt that it would not be a good genre for us. Overall I feel that we don't have the materials needed along with the budget to do so.


        As I keep brainstorming I have come to the idea that Amanda and I should go towards the Romance genre, because we both are young, and many young audiences love romance. With Romance films as well there is not much costume design or any intense lighting in order to make your film ROMANTIC. There can be romance in the smallest things possible and I feel that when Amanda and I continue to brainstorm ideas we can come up with something extremely unique,creative, and intense with this genre. And even though nothing is forsake yet I will of course keep all of you updated as I continue to blog through out this project. :)

               WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG! Over the last week in class we have been given a storyline and have had to make a trailer and teaser with the partner that has been assigned to us. In this project I felt that my partner Jakob and I did an amazing job with our trailer and teaser. But I felt that my partner Amanda (Portfolio Project Partner) seemed to be struggling with her trailer for her project, as she had told me herself.

As of now Amanda and I have chosen to do option 2 which includes two trailers, a website with the poster for the film along with the information on the film. In order to be able to work to our best ability Amanda and I have both decided that this is a short film that requires a lot of technique. We both have agreed that in order for this project to come out as best as we can possibly make it we must work with a short film and develop a story, because we both have the creative mind to do so.


  For now Amanda and I have changed our project from option 2 (trailers) to option 4 were we will be the short film package. I know that Amanda and I will be able to create something spectacular with this option, especially because it allows us to create something that we have done before. For now that's all I need to say blog, so I will be updating you guys tomorrow with some more updates on possible genres, scheduling, and much more !!

Welcome back everyone, 

Since I haven't kept you guys posted in awhile, I would like to talk about the marketing campaign project that I just finished with my group Amanda,Hannah,and Dio. All together  we created a marketing campaign for Wonder Paws that could benefit the organization greatly. 

Wonder Paws is a non profit organization that provides temporary homes, medical needs, and rehabilitation for the animals that have been neglected. Wonder Paws has been around for about 8 months now and have done a lot of good things for the animals so far. But Wonder Paws isn’t the strongest with marketing their brand, which affects the amount of customers and donations that they could possibly get. If Wonder Paws does a better job with marketing their brand it could benefit them a lot, so my team and I created a marketing campaign that Wonder Paws could use. In this campaign we heavily focused on helping our brand with the usage of social media and to spread the idea of pet fostering. 

The information above came from our research charts, and we compared the two organizations. Humane Society is a huge organization that is extremely successful, so we compared/contrasted what wonder paws does that is the same/different that can benefit themselves. 

In the marketing project we also used different more effect ways to market through social media platforms and one of the platforms used is tiktok. This is a new social media platform that wasn’t used by Wonder Paws before. We decided that wonder paws needed to market through tik tok because the target audience is perfect for the customers that Wonder Paws wants to bring in. Tik Tok could also be very effective for wonder paws because the spread of videos on tik tok is rapid and one video can gain a page thousands of followers (free advertisement). With being big on this platform it would allow for many users to hear of the organization wonder paws!

Over all this marketing campaign came out very nice, and I think that it would be very effective to be able to get the organization to where it wants to be. In this project my group and I made many changes to the logo,social media accounts,websites, and so much more. I think that through this project I was able to see how effective social media would be to the growth of an organization and I learned a lot from this. Down below will be an overview of our entire marketing project !!

It's been so long since I have updated you guys about what's going on! Last time I updated on here I was in aice media AS level and now I am in aice media A level. By taking AS level I have learned so many things and I am so excited to incorporate that in A level. I will be keeping you updated with projects that I will be creating this year and will be updating pretty often. Stay tuned!!
