This project has been a hassle! At first Amanda and I had our whole project completely done from the start to the end. We were extremely excited to start the project because we really did have a specific vision that we were going for. At first we had a specific genre of Romance and it was a story that I have always wanted to bring together and film.
This short film has been quite a process for the most part especially because at first Amanda and I were working like snails, we were going so slow as if we had all the time in the world. But then we got some bad news that came our way that comepley changed our process of everything between filming and just about everything. It affected everything and we had to completely change our genre, along with your overall theme. With the coronavirus in our way everyone has been under quarantine Amanda and I were unable to leave our homes and every public place has been closed. Leaving everyone was on house arrest, even school was closed. I know that this has been extremely disappointing not only for me but most of my peers because we all had high hopes into making this portfolio project the absolute best. I know that for the most part many of my classmates were disappointed in this happening because we were unable to film the project that we all had visioned and were ready to create.
Although this did not stop Amanda and I from making the absolute best project that we possibly could, so instead of making it a romantic parody we decided to make it just a parody on the ways to be safe with the coronavirus. This idea was really good for us because we knew that we would be able to create it. We thought that it would be just a perfect idea to mock all of the people (moms)that are being extremely over dramatic about the coronavirus.
This film was pretty difficult though because of the limited time that we had but it all worked out fine, although the editing process was a mission. Amanda had to create a whole 5 minute voice over and it had to match completely with the footage that was being placed. Since Amanda and I decided to mute the video, we had to come up with our sound effects and that took FOREVER. Especially because we had to sink the sound effects perfectly with the footage being shown it was a huge task that we needed to get done, but it turned out just fine.
I feel this project was pretty difficult because we did have some trouble with the website along with the links but we eventually managed. Thus project took a complete turn on us from the start to end because we did not think we would end up with the film that we now have, but I know that we did the best that we could with the resources around us. I overall enjoyed this project and learned a lot of new things from it, great learning experience.

Hi everyone,
As this week is coming closer to an end, (our project deadline) Amanda and I are moving extremely fast and we are getting big things done everyday. So since yesterday we finished editing our film today we decided that we would be putting the final touches into our website and finally publish it to the public. In this website we focused on the color scenes of white, red, and black to stick with our theme. We also made the website extremely clean and easy to access, by having a way to navigate through the top right corner with having it all labeled. Amanda and I are aware that many teenagers aren’t really big on the web, so we decided to put an easy way to click to our social media from the websites. The website looks great and I know that our audience will absolutely love it ! Down below is how the website looks!

Hi people !
Editing all done! But I do have to admit that it was a mission to get the film to look exactly the way that we wanted too. These are our finally editing touches that we used in our film..
1)We did have some difficulties with the sounds because we muted the videos so Amanda and I had to completely record our sounds and put it together perfectly so the footage would sink with the sound.
2) We decided to put a lot of little details into every single scene that was filmed. Another thing that we did with the film was that we put a voice over throughout our whole film, so timing the voice over with every single action that was taken also became quite difficult but it did end up going in smoothly.
3)Other than creating our own sounds we also had some sounds that we used from WeVideo and it made a significant difference inside of our project.
4) We also heavily manipulated the colors from before corona and after and it definitely added a huge tough to the visual aspects.
This editing process was definitely more tricky then it was last year, but we managed it as best as we could and ended up coming out great! While creating this film, I definitely learned a lot and I know that I will take what I learned into further productions! :)
